For our fourth visit to Ibiza, we booked to stay at Aparthotel Casita Blanca after seeing rave reviews and its array of facilities. The adults-only aparthotel in the heart of San Antonio has built a following for its boho-chic aesthetic and upbeat party vibe.
San Antonio has always been our favourite base when staying in Ibiza for its location and amenities, so the location was a deciding factor. Here is our complete review of our experience at the Casita Blanca Hotel in Ibiza, covering everything from the rooms to the pools and breakfast.

Casita Blanca has a prime location in the popular San Antonio area. San Antonio Beach is only a 10-minute walk away, as well as the West End strip for nightlife. There are also several supermarkets a few minutes away if you need to buy provisions like bread, ice cream, alcohol, and water.
Because of the central location, you can walk to restaurants and bars easily. If you do wish to get a taxi anywhere, including to the clubs, they arrive within a few minutes. The concierge at reception is always happy to call one for you.
If your itinerary revolves around sunsets, beach clubs, food, and sightseeing, you can’t get a better location.
The Room: Boho Apartment Living
Layout of the Room
The design of the room was very much a natural, boho chic appearance that was minimalistic yet trendy enough to be deemed insta-worthy. We had two single beds that could be pushed together or kept separate, depending on your sleeping arrangements. The bedding was very thin, but there was also a blanket that could be added on top in case it got cold (which was very much not the case in July).
Unless specified otherwise via a door hanger, cleaners come by your room each day. They changed the bedding, swapped out used towels for clean ones, and emptied the bins. There was a bottle of water left for us on arrival free of charge, but no other refreshments, and this wasn’t replaced.
The only downside is that the walls were a little thin, so if people come back late it can be slightly noisy. However, if you’re used to living in flats and apartments, this shouldn’t be an issue, though you may wish to bring earplugs.
Kitchen Area
Since Casita Blanca operates as an aparthotel, the rooms come with self-catering amenities. This was different to what we’d ever gone for before and was a game changer. Our room came with a mini-fridge, kettle, sink, and kitchenette. You also have a range of glasses, mugs, cutlery, a bottle opener, and a hairdryer.
Bathroom
The bathroom was clean and modern, with a walk-in shower, toilet, sink, and window. The shower was slightly difficult to use at first, with us unable to find the ideal temperature. Once this was configured properly, it was a lot better but could suddenly go cold if showering longer than 10 minutes.
It was compact in size but larger than other hotels we’ve stayed in before in Ibiza. Condensation cleared pretty quickly too, which was a godsend with the temperature exceeding 30°C.
Air Conditioning
The air conditioning on the wall was very effective, with the temperature able to go as low as 18°C. We also had a ceiling fan that could be turned on and off with a switch. If things did get slightly too cold, we simply opened the balcony door.
Balcony
The private balcony was probably the standout feature of the room. It came with a small table and two chairs to spend the early mornings waking up and late afternoons with a bag of Lays and Fanta lemon.
Casita Blanca Hotel Rules
When we checked in, the hotel informed us that we had to pay for the tourist tax. This was €3.30 per person, per night since it was peak season (May 1 – October 31). During low season (November 1 – April 30), this is €0.83 per person, per night. Also, if you stay more than nine days, the tax rate drops to 50% every night after the 10th day. A deposit of €30 per person is also required to be paid upfront, and this must be cash. Make sure to have some currency to hand before checking in.
Check-out is generous at 12:00 pm should you wish to spend your last night at one of the superclubs. Staff offered to keep our suitcases safe, but we had an early flight. It’s good to know that this is something they offer, though. Upon check-out, you need to hand back your TV remote (and air conditioning remote if needed) to get your €30 back.
To get into your room, you’re given a wristband with a plastic tag. This makes it much easier to remember when you’re out and about or by the pool. If you do choose to cut this off, do make sure to keep it for checkout and hand it back to reception.
As the hotel is adults-only, only those over 18 are allowed to stay or visit the complex. Bear this in mind when booking your trip to avoid disappointment. In addition to this, make sure to be respectful during your time here. This includes keeping noise down after 10:00 pm and before 7:00 am and being pleasant to staff.
Pools and Amenities at Casita Blanca
The poolside area of the hotel was a key selling point for us. Not only did it look great, but we felt we could spend the day here without missing out on any of the action on the island. There’s a main pool at the bottom by the breakfast dining area and a smaller pool at the top, with a waterfall feature separating the two. Hung above the space was a huge disco ball that we couldn’t help but take a picture of.
Pool Activities
Throughout the week, there was a variety of different activities by the pool. There was always a DJ during the afternoon, who played a variety of modern and classic Ibiza tunes. On one of the days, there was a live singer, and on another, dancers who paraded around the outside of the pools. Every day at 3:00 pm, the staff would perform their own dance routine, which was a nice addition.
Other activities included yoga sessions in the mornings, wine tasting during the afternoon, and happy hour cocktails after 6:00 pm.
Seating Around the Pool
The variety of seating included wooden tables and chairs, sunbeds, bean bag chairs, and egg chairs. We found that these were usually reserved early in the day (after 10:00 am) with towels, so it could be a struggle to find somewhere to sit. If you’re eagle-eyed, though, you can usually find something, even if it’s sitting on the steps.
Most of the seating is situated in the shade, which is beneficial if you wish to avoid the sun. With the UV index reaching 10, this was a plus for us. The pool is also quite large in size, so there was always space to swim, and there was a range of pool floats free to use.
Food and Drinks at Casita Blanca
Breakfast was included in the price of our room, open from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, which is generous compared to a lot of others in Ibiza. You must dress appropriately for breakfast; otherwise, you’ll be refused entry. A t-shirt and shorts or a light dress is all that is needed (just no pool attire). The range of food we found to be good, with a selection of meats, cheese, fruit, bread, cereals, and yoghurts. There was also a choice of hot options like eggs, bacon, beans, and sausage, with the option to order omelettes. For something sweet, there were croissants, pan au chocolat, doughnuts, muffins, and occasionally pancakes. There was a coffee machine as well as a range of different juices.
The on-site bar and restaurant at the hotel were top-notch and reasonably priced. The menu included lots of staples such as salads, pizzas, tacos, and pastas. Our favourites were the club sandwich (THE CLASSIC), the Tacos Macos, and Pizza chicken BBQ. The goat’s cheese salad was also popular in our group, but it’s worth noting it comes with walnuts.
When it came to drinks, we mostly opted for pints of San Miguel (€7), iced coffee (€6), and frozen mango margaritas (€14 but 2 for 1 during happy hour). Along with this, there was a range of other cocktails like Aperol Spritz and Spicy Paloma, jugs of Sangria, and sparkling wine.
While you can order from the bar, you can also grab a member of staff if they are walking by. All of them were super friendly, and service was quick.
Final Verdict: Should You Book Casita Blanca?
This was among one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Ibiza and would happily return. The facilities were great, rooms clean, and food high quality. For the price of the room for five days, it was definitely worth the money.
